PATRICK BLANC IS AN UPWARD THINKER

Sir Patrick Blanc is a French botanist who as a child has always been obsessed with...you guessed it, plants.
This green thumb Frenchie is the inventor of the vertical garden that means he prefers his gardens on the wall and not on the ground. 'Tis why he put his cool new invention to use for the Athenaeum Hotel in London.
Its no seventh Wonder of the world but I think King Nebuchadnezzar II would have definitely contracted Mr.Blanc for his whole garden bit.
The hotel as shown is eight stories high and because weather conditions vary, so do the plants. A variety of plants are chosen for the lower shad(y)ed area's and another variation of plants are selected that can withstand the aggressive winds of London such as plants you might find hanging off a cliff.
What if Patrick was your dad? You could say things like "I don't think my dad, the inventor of the vertical garden would be too pleased with that!" HAWT!
Patrick on being "different".
"I leave horizontal gardens to others. I only think vertically." Vertical THINGS are extra HAWT!
